UrbaCon celebrates injury-free track record

UrbaCon Trading & Contracting, a Qatar-based company involved in several huge projects in the region, has been maintaining its injury-free track record because of the excellent safety standards and effective project management skills, said its top official.

"Continuous health and safety surveillance is maintained with safety audits carried out at regular intervals," remarked its CEO Moataz Al Khayyat while speaking at the the 11th International Emergency and Catastrophe Management Conference and Exhibition in Dubai, UAE.

"UrbaCon employees are equipped with all necessary personal protection equipment prior to entering any of the work sites", he added.

UrbaCon has been involved in several huge projects over the last few years and is one of the most respected building contractors in Qatar.

In addition to the Mall of Qatar, included among its projects are the Banana Island Resort, the Sheraton Doha Hotel and Convention Center, and the Lekhwiya Stadium at Al Duhail, said Al Khayyat.

UrbaCon had recently received International Safety Award by the British Safety Council for its dedication towards ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, he added.
