Dr Ravi Pillai, chairman of the RP Group, was awarded the ‘Businessman of the Year’ at the recent Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2015, an event which celebrates the very best in business achievement, in Dubai, UAE.

The awards night, held at the JW Marriott Marquis, recognised Dr Pillai’s considerable contribution over the course of the year in landmark Dubai property projects.

The award, which was adjudicated by an independent panel, was handed over by Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Group to Vinod G. Pillai, Group general manager of RP Group UAE Operations, on behalf of Dr Pillai. The Arabian Business Awards are the property of Arabian Business magazine, the flagship business publication of the ITP Publishing Group.

Dr Pillai said: “It is a great honour for me to receive this prestigious award. RP Group has a strong history of being a regional leader across various sectors and I am delighted that Arabian Business has recognised our impact on the region’s property sector. This award would not have been possible without the efforts of over 85,000 people who work in our organisation globally.”

“RP Global, the real estate arm of RP Group, is investing AED 5.5 billion in Dubai’s real estate sector, and our first project RP Heights, will be ready by the last quarter of 2017. This is just the start, of what I am sure will be, a very successful endeavour,” he added.
