Top Indian projects showcased at Dubai expo

DUBAI, October 31, 2015

More than 100 projects from 35 leading developers in India were showcased at the 11th edition of ‘India Homes Fair,’ a two-day property exhibition in Dubai, UAE.

The event is aimed at NRIs and people of Indian origins (PIOs) residing in Dubai and who are looking at owning a home in their home country, said HDFC, India’s premier housing finance company, which is hosting the show.

The projects on display are mainly from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, National Capital Region, Pune, Gujarat, Goa Kerala, Punjab and Kolkata with varying options like apartments, row houses, flats, villas and plots.

The show was inaugurated by Renu Sud Karnad, the managing director of HDFC at ‘The H Hotel’, on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

Speaking at the occasion, Renu said, "Buying a property back home definitely ranks as one of the greatest dreams for NRIs and PIOs. And they have always shown interest in the India’s housing market."

"HDFC’s 19 years of presence in Dubai has helped us to understand the demand from NRI’s wanting to own a house back in India," she stated.

Stability in property prices, softening of interest rates along with various initiatives taken by the government such as Smart City and ‘Housing for All’ is going to renew the interest of the NRI community in the Indian real estate sector even further, said Renu.

"Through the show we enable our customers to evaluate from a wide variety of properties available and choose the best house for themselves without travelling back to India. The participation of so many renowned developers makes it a great opportunity for customers to take an exclusive first look at newly-launched properties from all over the country," she added.

‘India Homes Fair’ provides a platform for home buyers to interact directly with senior representatives from the developers on property-related queries, avail home loan services and receive professional guidance on legal and technical documentation from the HDFC counselors, all under one roof.

The major developers at the show included Godrej properties, Piramal Realty, Wadhwa Group, Adhiraj Constructions, Shanders Properties, Sobha Developers, Lodha Group, L&T realty, Mahindra Lifespace, Puravankara Projects, Hiranandani Construction, Tata Housing and Nyati Builders.-TradeArabia News Service
