A first-of-its-kind snow village to come up in Oman.

$31m snow village deal signed in Oman

MUSCAT, July 10, 2015

A RO12-million ($31 million) deal was signed with a Dutch firm for the first snow village in Oman, to be a part of the ‘Palm Mall’ project in Muscat, according to a report.

It will be the first-of-its-kind snow village in the sultanate within the Entertainment City, which also includes a number of education and entertainment centres for different age groups, said the Oman Daily Observer report.

"We focus a lot on the quality of the projects to be distinct and different from what exists in terms of components," Shaikh Mahmoud bin Mohammed Jarwani, chairman, Tamani Global Company, and owner of the Palm Mall, was quoted as saying.

The project is aimed at promoting tourism, he added.
