First Bahrain names lead members for $30m project

MANAMA, June 7, 2015

First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company has named Almoayyed Contracting Group and Sanad Engineering as the lead members of the project team for its new $30 million commercial project in the Janabiya district of Bahrain.

The project team is already at work on the first phase of development which will initially span an area of more than 86,000 sq ft in Block 575 of Janabiya, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Situated at the corner of Avenue 27 and Road 7151, the project is a neighbourhood retail centre which will offer more than 48,000 sq ft of leasable retail space from the second quarter of next year.

"With Almoayyed Contracting and Sanad Engineering contributing their vast knowledge and wealth of experience, I can say with utmost confidence that we are well positioned to achieve success in the execution of this project," First Bahrain chief executive Amin Al Arrayed said.

First Bahrain chose Almoayyed Contracting Group because it maintains a dedicated team of engineers, skilled workers, and uses latest construction methods. First Bahrain cited the company's proven capabilities in the execution of multimillion-dinar projects.

"We sincerely appreciate the confidence placed in us by First Bahrain for choosing us to lead this new innovative project," Almoayyed Contracting Group director and chief executive M T Mathews said.

Sanad Engineering has more than 24 years of experience of delivering projects in commercial, retail, healthcare and industrial sectors. First Bahrain chose to appoint Sanad Engineering because they are one of the best in the business with their class of international engineers.

"We are delighted about being appointed as the architect and engineers for this exciting project with First Bahrain," Sanad Engineering managing director Salman Sanad said.

"Our main objective is to create an iconic development that embraces Janabiya's identity and culture while also becoming the prime outlet of choice in the area."

First Bahrain chief development officer Yasser Abu-Lughod expressed confidence that the team will execute the project on time and within budget. He also added that the team is expecting to have the project completed by second quarter in 2016. – TradeArabia News Service
