Samsung to deploy new AC model at Fatima Tower.

Samsung wins deal to install AC system at Jeddah tower

JEDDAH, April 6, 2015

Samsung Electronics won a bid leading to the signing of a SR3 million ($799,382) deal to install and service the new DVM S DESERT central air conditioning system at the new Fatima Residential tower, built with top engineering techniques and located on Tahliah Street in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Instead of dedicating a floor to install the air conditioners, they were all placed on the roof top thus saving on space, said a statement.

This new mechanical floor will also bring a wealth of new ecological solutions such as saving 40 per cent of the energy, and standing in compliance with SASO regulations which could rank up to 10 stars on the quality scale, it said.

Jinhyuk Oh, AC business manager at Samsung Electronics - Saudi Arabia, said: “We are proud at Samsung Electronics to be able to vary and offer products which cater to all consumers, in line with their personal and business needs.

“The DVM S DESERT is a revolution in the air conditioning technology, and Samsung won the project thanks to the innovative product solutions we have put forward in this field, so far rated as the first-of-its-kind with the Vapor Injection feature that enhances the energy consumption capacity and the overall performance of the system.”

Large scale projects can cause enormous energy waste and useless spending if the AC systems are not controlled over the operational surfaces only, said the statement.

However, Samsung ACs’ enable the best possible control of temperatures and air flow with individual access over various surfaces. This option is particularly important for commercial towers with offices and meeting rooms, it said.

The Samsung Air Conditioning DVM-S Desert has the most advanced technology available adopting a twin variable compressor system and an intercooler of the plate type heat exchanger, it said.

With its VRF system, it boasts a maximum module capacity and includes the world’s longest piping length which reaches up to 1000 m, smallest footprint, turbo intercooler and DVI compress with a startup time reduced from 180 to 50 minutes.

The users can also benefit from the reports, readings and data through a smart operating system which makes maintenance and service easier, less time-consuming and money-saving. The operating system is also connected to WiFi, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
