Bahrain bus stops revamp plan to be launched
MANAMA, March 23, 2015
Hundreds of bus stops and shelters across Bahrain will be replaced under a scheme set to be launched next month.
Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry Under-Secretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs Mariam Ahmed Jumaan announced yesterday (March 22) that an estimated 400 bus stops and shelters will be demolished and rebuilt as part of an agreement signed with UK-based engineering company Trueform, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
The project, which should be complete within 12 months, will also see an additional 500 bus stops constructed, in line with the ongoing expansion of Bahrain’s public transport network. - TradeArabia News Service
