Inaugural Cityscape Kuwait ends on high note
KUWAIT, December 9, 2014
The inaugural Cityscape Kuwait, a premier real estate development and investment event, ended its three-day run today (December 9) on an optimistic note, showcasing the latest trends for high quality properties from around the world.
With more than 65 real estate related exhibitors, the exhibition highlight the innovation and creativity in the industry, said Deep Marwaha, group director of Informa Exhibitions, co-organiser of Cityscape Kuwait.
Discussions about real estate investment, opportunities for joint ventures, and networking with one's peers were on the top of the agenda for those visiting the event, Marwaha noted.
“We are glad to provide the Kuwaiti real estate community and investors with an event that surpassed their expectations and raised the bar in terms of exhibitions in the country,” said Marwaha.
“Cityscape Kuwait has been the largest real estate exhibition in the State of Kuwait and an unrivalled platform for real estate developers and brokers to tap into the Kuwaiti investment community. The event proved to be an effective meeting place for real estate developers, private and institutional investors, architects, consultants and other real estate providers to network and do business. Cityscape Kuwait has achieved its prime goal and we hope has contributed to the future of the real estate sector in Kuwait.”
In addition to regional and international participation, the exhibition has been the ideal platform for domestic companies to experience the unmatched standard of a Cityscape event in their own country.
Murtadha Al Qazwini, first consumer financing supervisor at Kuwait International Bank (KIB), said that the bank’s participation in Cityscape stemmed from its experience in the real estate market. KIB provides services in investment management and property evaluation, and issues a quarterly report on topics relating to real estate.
Noura Zuhairi, senior media official at United Real Estate Company (URC), elaborated on the projects that the company showcased at Cityscape Kuwait: “We have offered the ‘Rouche View’ project, located directly in front of the Rouche Sea Rock in Beirut. In addition, the company had on display the ‘Residences Walls’ project in Cairo, which consists of 75 luxurious villas, the ‘Salalah Gardens’ project in Salalah, Oman, the Abdali Mall project and others.
“Our participation in Cityscape Kuwait comes in recognition of its position as a global exhibition on one hand and in continuation to our constant participation in all Cityscape events around the world. Based on our successful participations in previous exhibitions, we decided to seize the opportunity to take part in Cityscape Kuwait in order to offer our new projects, especially since it is a meeting point for leading major real estate companies in Kuwait and the world,” Zuhairi added.
Al Mazaya Holdings promoted the innovative Queue Point residential projects located at Dubai Land - a project offering 52 residential units dedicated to middle-class accommodation.
Salwa Malhas, chief business development and marketing officer at Al Mazaya Holdings, said that the sale and delivery of the project units in which it directly owns 26 plots, is currently progressing while it proceeds to develop the remaining units mostly dedicated to serve investors. This year, Al Mazaya has delivered a large number of units and is still constructing more buildings with the aim of delivering next year.
Al Mazaya seized the opportunity to showcase its real estate portfolio at Cityscape Kuwait, which includes projects in different countries in the region, and projects that serve the logistics sector such as Al Mazaya Logistics in Bahrain. The company also offers projects in residential, commercial and office spaces sectors.
