MAN rolls out robust trucks for construction sector

MAN Truck & Bus is showcasing its world-class trucks for the construction segment and comprehensive service programmes at The Big 5 construction expo in Dubai, UAE.
A combination of trucks and services are on display at the machinery and vehicles section of the PMV Live, a premier regional showcase for the construction machinery and vehicles industry, which is co-located with The Big 5.
These trucks exhibit all the MAN trademarks of extraordinary power and efficiency, said Darwish Bin Ahmed and Sons (DBA), the exclusive distributor of MAN in the UAE, which is celebrating 20 years of partnership with the German truck maker at the Big 5 this year.
MAN is showcasing its most robust vehicle, the TGS 41.480 8x8 truck specially designed for usage in rough off-road conditions such as the desert. The vehicle can be used in various application like oilfields, maintenance of high voltage cables, crane operations and many more special off-road tasks.
Additional trucks on display include the TGS 40.360 6x4 chassis mounted with 18 cu m tipper body, the most popular tipper truck for the construction industry. The third truck on display is the TGS 41.360 8x4 chassis mounted with 10 cu m concrete mixer.

At The Big 5, MAN said it will continue to promote its education campaign for ProfiDrive Training modules, which was in focus on last year’s exhibition.
The training can lead up to a 10 per cent reduction in fuel consumption alone through better vehicle handling and economical driving techniques.
