US-based Belden, a global leader in signal transmission solutions, has launched its three new products for applications and networks specifically used in building management systems (BMS) and oil and gas industries.

The launch includes the cutting-edge Belden DataTuff Cables, the broadest line of industrial grade cable and cord sets. The cables have been designed and manufactured to endure extreme environments.

Providing the highest levels of reliability, quality and performance, the company’s DataTuff product portfolio covers all areas of the industrial sector and features Belden’s patented Bonded-Pair technology, a statement said.

Belden’s Modular Industrial Patch Panels (MIPPs) are cost-efficient termination panels for cables that need to be connected to switches and other active equipment. The new MIPP line has three innovative termination panel options, namely the MIPP fibre splice box, the MIPP copper patch panel, and the MIPP mix.

The third new product introduced by the company is the newly approved high-temperature RailTuff Cat 7 Ethernet Data Cable designed for the passenger railway market of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The new RailTuff cable has a transmission performance of 10 Gbps, enabling multiple integration of board applications and effectively making cable installations future proof. In addition, the high temperature rating and low smoke, zero halogen construction and the flexible 19-strand conductors make it the ideal product for on-board rail vehicle installations, the statement said.
