Top properties to be showcased at Bahrain expo

MANAMA, November 5, 2014

Fifteen exhibitors will take part in BaPDEX 2014, which opens tomorrow (November 6) at the Bahrain City Centre.

It will be held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Organised by Bahrain Property Development Association (BaPDA), the five-day exhibition aims to inform Bahrainis about the latest residential and investment developments in the kingdom, offering a platform to showcase both existing and upcoming projects under one roof.

“BaPDEX 2014 provides a unique opportunity for both investors and end-users to discover the latest projects in the market, and to network with the key players in the real estate sector,” BaPDA chairman and Diyar Al Muharraq chief executive Arif Hejres said.

“The event is set to witness a wide participation, attracting government ministries and institutions and private sector companies operating in the field of real estate development,” he added.

The 15 exhibitors are divided into three categories: The platinum sponsors including Royal Ambassador, Diyar Al Muharraq, Manara Development, Naseej and Bin Faqeeh; the gold sponsors including Orchid Developers and Durrat Marina; while the silver sponsors include the Housing Ministry, the Comprehensive Municipal Centre, Northern Area Municipality, Sunni Waqf Directorate, Tameer, Impact Estate, Dilmunia and Amfa Real Estate.

Meanwhile, international real estate advisers, Cluttons and Bahrain-based property consultants Impact Estate are set to launch the sale of new luxurious freehold apartments at Orchid Plaza.

Orchid Plaza is a residential tower developed by Orchid Developers and Kadi Properties, which boasts panoramic views of the sea, in Juffair.

Set for completion in 2017, Orchid Plaza will offer residents indoor and outdoor swimming pools, male and female gyms, squash courts, a mini basketball court, children's play area and a cinema.

Its 305 apartments are available for sale off plan. With prices starting at BD29,900 ($78,817), investors can choose from a range of stylish studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as duplexes, with the first 20 apartments set to sell at a five per cent discount.

“We're excited to launch the sale of apartments at Orchid Plaza to meet the demand that we are witnessing for freehold developments in Bahrain. We have already recorded strong interest from both local and international investors,” Cluttons Bahrain head Harry Goodson Wickes said. - TradeArabia News Service
