Pegasus launches 2nd tower of key Juffair project
MANAMA, September 8, 2014
Real estate agency Pegasus Realty has launched the second tower of a housing project in Juffair.
Bookings for apartments in the North Tower of Juffair Heights is now open with most of the 192-unit South Tower already sold, a top official of the Dadabhai Development and Properties Management Company (DDPM) said in a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Unveiled in April, the twin-tower high-rise development, catering to the medium market segment, was originally conceived to offer 376 one- and two-bedroom apartments, although buyers who wanted three- or four-bedroom units were offered the option to combine units.
"The layout of the North Tower has since been modified and it will offer an expanded three-bedroom option also," said DDPM managing director Shabeer Dadabhai.
He said design changes include more family space and larger master bedrooms.
"Work on the South Tower is progressing well and we are already 20 days ahead of schedule," said Dadabhai.
"Construction of phase one would be complete by the first quarter of 2016, while the North Tower will be ready by the middle of that year."
Aziz Mithaiwala, the managing director of Pegasus Realty, the exclusive promoters of the project, said the response to the first tower has been encouraging.
"This well-planned affordable modern housing complex is packed with lifestyle facilities and is located in a secure area.
“The addition of the indoor sporting facilities further enhances the overall living experience of the owners and residents."
He said in a first for Bahrain, clients can now watch live on their computers and mobile devices progress of work through a live webcam.
"This way, they will keep themselves updated at all times on the developments."
Mithaiwala said the payment schedule for the North Tower would depend on the stages of construction, with prospective buyers paying a 10 per cent initial deposit to book an apartment.
"Prices have also been restructured with a BD49,100 ($129,442) price tag now for a one-bedroom apartment, as compared with BD50,000 earlier."
