Bahrain’s Ministry of Works has completed the implementation of the sewerage network in Block 711 in Tubli, said a senior executive.
The ministry’s Sanitary Engineering Planning and Projects director Asma Murad revealed that the BD2.9 million ($7.8 million) project is a part of its plan to improve sanitary services in the kingdom.
It comprised extending 18.1 km long sewerage pipes (12.5 km long main extensions and 5.6 km long sub-extensions), constructing two main pumping stations and inspections chambers, in addition to mechanical and electrical works, he said.
“The project serves 510 residential units and 280 real estates. It also connects the housing project in the area to the sewerage network; comprising 175 residential units,” said Murad.
The project was awarded to Bahrain Pipelines and Contracting. - TradeArabia News Service
