Damac unveils Jeddah residences project

London, July 3, 2011

Damac Properties, one of the largest luxury developers in the Middle East, is using London’s iconic ‘Harrods’ store to showcase its ‘Damac Residences with Versace Home Interiors’ project in Jeddah from July 4 to 31.

The limited release designer residential apartments will occupy the higher floors of Damac’s exclusive ‘Al Jawharah’ development on the Jeddah Corniche in Saudi Arabia.

Al Jawharah is well advanced with construction at podium 3.  The entire project scheduled for completion in 2013, said a statement from the UAE developer.

Damac chose the peak summer period of July at Harrods to showcase the Versace inspired residences in a bid to appeal to visitors from the Gulf, who descend on London, and indeed the fashionable store, at this time every year, revealed a senior official.

"The Damac Residences with Versace Home Interiors in Jeddah will be in a class of its own. It will be one of the most glamorous and luxurious residential developments in the world, with bespoke interior design packages throughout," remarked Hussain Sajwani, chairman of Damac Properties.

"This collaboration with Versace Home Interiors will deliver the Italian luxury lifestyle concept to Saudi Arabia," he added.

Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace Group, said, “We are delighted to be collaborating again with Damac following the successful launch of its tower in Beirut. Versace Home will work closely with Damac to deliver an interior design project for the prestigious residences in Al Jawharah development in Jeddah.”

Harrods is internationally recognised as one of the world’s premium destinations for luxury items and global fashion brands.

The store has a long tradition of playing host to celebrity signature perfume launches as well providing a venue for runway shows featuring new fashion collections by world-renowned designers.

Commenting on the launch in Harrods, Damac Properties senior VP Niall Mc Loughlin said: “Harrods is the home of the fashion elite, I can think of no better place to showcase Versace branded residential apartments than Harrods."

"For sophisticated, glamorous, fashion conscious customers it is a destination in itself," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
