Fountain specialist announces Saudi foray

Madrid-based Ghesa, one of the leading organisations in turnkey design, project and installation of ornamental and cybernetic musical fountains and multimedia shows, has opened its new branch in Riyadh.
The Spanish firm said the Saudi foray is part of its wider regional expansion plans.
Ghesa will soon open more offices in Middle East and Asia adding to its global network in Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, the US, Portugal, Brazil, Peru, China, and UAE.
'By opening these branches, Ghesa will be better able to serve the growing demand of its products, particulary under the current market situation, using the new concept “Value Engineering by Ghesa,” said Wissam Barakat, who has been appointed the business development manager for the Riyadh office.
Ghesa is currently constructing more than 180 fountains for the Princess Nora University, which will soon become one of the largest Higher Education Institutions for Women in the world.
From his new office in Riyadh, Barakat will implement the company's strategy in the Kingdom, where he has a stellar record of success and well-established relationships, the company said in a statement.
With more than 12 years experience in sales, marketing and project management in the Mena region, he most recently served as a BDM with one of the world’s leading international water features specialist.
Barakat, in his new role, will expand the capabilities currently offered by the Dubai team, providing the whole range of Ghesa´s services, including Turnkey solutions and working together in order to provide the highest quality service and support to new and existing customers.
Ghesa, a multinational company, was created in 1963 as an initiative of several Spanish electric utilities in collaboration with the American consulting engineering company Gibbs & Hill (NY).
At present, Ghesa constitutes one of the most important engineering groups in Europe, with technological management expertise for developing a variety of complex projects both in Spain and abroad.
Since 1975, Ghesa has installed more than 3,000 fountains and is recognised globally as one of the premier organisations in this specialised sector.-TradeArabia News Service
