Good response for Baniyas project at Cityscape

Baniyas Investment and Development Company (BID), the investment arm of Bani Yas Sports Club, has reported receiving an enthusiastic response at Cityscape Abu 2011 for its new projects.

During the event, BID launched Bawabat Al Sharq Phase III Andalusian Villas and showcased Phase II apartments and scenic Garden Homes.

The projects’ uniqueness is complemented by attractive purchase options which led to the sale of 60 per cent of the offered villas, said the company.

Bawabat Al Sharq, the Dh3 billion ($816 million) project in Abu Dhabi, which translates BID’s vision for building communities and enhancing the lifestyle of individuals, has also bagged the “Best Built Mixed Use Development in the Mena at” the prestigious Cityscape Awards Ceremony.

Highlighting the success at Abu Dhabi Cityscape 2011, Wael Tawil, CEO of Baniyas Investment and Development said: “The importance of Cityscape lies in the fact that it is a platform to exhibit various products in the market, showcase different projects in the pipeline and introduce long term plans, regulations and governance. This year, the event attracted distinguished exhibitors offering yet another opportunity to connect with the investors and end users. The newly launched Andalusian villas within Phase III of the award winning Bawabat Al Sharq received a good response over the past couple of days which resulted in booking more than 60 per cent of these units.”

Wael El Ashry, commercial vice president at BID, said: “In preparations for Abu Dhabi Cityscape, we worked on developing a product that would exceed the expectations of our discerning clients. We are delighted to see that the Phase III Andalusian Villas which were launched at the event received a good response.”

Bawabat Al Sharq is an ideal mix of modern residential, retail, entertainment and sporting facilities. The infrastructure works on Phase I of BAS are currently underway where 75 per cent of the roads embankment, 25 per cent of the storm water and sewage networks, 50 per cent of the external electricity and 25 per cent of the Mall external parking area have been completed.
