Al Bilad awards $25m Seef contract

Al Bilad Real Estate Investment has awarded a two-year $25 million contract to Al Hasanain Company to build quay walls for the Water Garden City project at Seef in Bahrain.
The contract includes the construction and implementation of concrete walls three kilometres long to be completed over a period of two years.
'We are very happy to have reached this phase of development because finalising the contract for building the concrete walls for this project reflects our determination to move ahead with the construction of Water Garden City, said Al Bilad Real Estate Investment general manager and engineer Ziad Abdullatif Janahi.
'It will be one of the major water-front interfaces in the kingdom,' he added.
'Awarding the tender to Al Hasanain consolidates the partnership between the Bahraini company and the Bahraini contractor to develop the kingdom and strengthen co-operation and progress during this critical period for the economies of the world.'
'We endeavour to strengthen the confidence in the ability of the Bahraini workforce and present them with a well-deserved opportunity to complete projects of this size,' he added.
'Being awarded the contract for this important project reflects the strong position of the Al Hasanain Company,' said Al Hasanain general manager Jassim Hussein.
'For more than 30 years, the company continued to develop in the areas of infrastructure and marine management with strong and dedicated Bahraini employees and management.
'During the tendering phase, we underwent lengthy negotiations, which took both a lot of time and effort but the company managed to win the confidence of the supervising team responsible for the completion of this project, demonstrating its firm capability and efficiency to carry out such large projects,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
