Survey on Gulf construction trends launched

Abu Dhabi, February 9, 2009

A survey focusing on the outlook for the region’s construction sector was launched at the Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) 2009 in Abu Dhabi today.

It was announced at the summit that more than 35 chief executives from the region’s leading construction firms will contribute to the ‘AWCS/Meed Gulf Construction Outlook Survey’.

The three-day summit that opened today (February 9) concludes on Wednesday (February 11).

“The survey will serve as a powerful indicator to the future of the construction market in the Gulf, and will be based on the views of industry experts who keep a close watch on market movements,” said Richard Thompson, editor at Meed. “It will allow senior businessmen and investors to form an accurate assessment of the short and long-term prospects of the market based on industry sentiment.”

The results from the survey will be published in Meed on February 20, 2009. – TradeArabia News Service
