Maleb named Emaar Pakistan chief

Emaar Pakistan, the country subsidiary of Dubai-based Emaar Properties, has appointed Dr Dia Malaeb, as its new chief executive officer.
Dr Malaeb will lead Emaar Pakistan’s multi-billion dollar projects in Islamabad and Karachi, and also explore new growth opportunities.
With a doctorate in civil engineering, Dr Malaeb has more than 25 years of experience in contracting, project management and real estate development.
He has worked with leading construction and project development companies in Lebanon, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and has extensive expertise in conceptualising large-scale projects and implementing them according to schedules.
Dr Malaeb said: “Pakistan is one of the high-growth markets for Emaar, and our projects are focused not only on creating world-class mixed-use communities but also in ushering in socio-economic growth by creating new job opportunities and supporting ancillary industries.”
Emaar is currently developing Canyon Views and The Highlands in Islamabad, and Crescent Bay in Karachi. Canyon Views and Crescent Bay have opened to strong customers response, and construction is progressing as per schedule with contracts awarded to leading Pakistani companies.-TradeArabia News Service
