Hydra in investment talks with Trump
Abu Dhabi , May 27, 2008
UAE-based real estate developer Hydra Properties held joint investment talks with the global property development empire - Trump Organisation.
Trump Organisation chairman and CEO Donald Trump met Hydra Properties CEO Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim to explore real estate and business opportunities within Abu Dhabi.
In addition, the company also announced that Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump, Vice Presidents - Real Estate Development and Acquisitions, Trump Organisation, are set to make a special cameo appearance in ‘Hydra Executives’, a new English reality-based series, which it is currently producing.
Al Fahim highlighted the company’s complete project portfolio during the meeting, and discussed the enormous business in property development amidst the booming real estate market in Abu Dhabi.
Donald Jr, Ivanka and Erik Trump were personally introduced to the US and UK teams from the show, which is slated to air its first episode by September.
“It was a very productive trip for the Trumps,” said Ingrid Naranjo the organizer of the visit.
“It is quite a thrill to be here in Abu Dhabi and see all the developments in full swing. We are witnessing outstanding progress that is taking on a full speed like no other in the world, and entering the active real estate scenario in this emirate is definitely something that we are looking into,” said Ivanka Trump.
“We recognise the efforts being undertaken by Hydra Properties in building unique and high quality projects, and a partnership with an influential developer such as them is an attractive option for us.”
“As a major player in the real estate market in Abu Dhabi, it is also part of our business strategy to venture into partnerships with leading global developers. Donald Jr, Ivanka and Erik Trump’s visit to the emirate is a positive indication of the Trump Organisation’s interest in entering the Abu Dhabi real estate market. We also expect the appearance of Donald and Ivanka in ‘Hydra Executives’ to be an inspiration for the contenders to motivate them in their pursuit for success at the show,” said ‘Hydra Executives’ Producer Ziad Batal.
‘Hydra Executives’ will feature 16 contenders - 8 from the US and 8 from the UK - who will vie for a $1 million business grant in an exciting 15-week competition.
Produced by Hydra Properties, the programme will chronicle the drama behind the teams’ and the individual contenders’ efforts to excel in given tasks and assignments, while learning about the real estate business in the process.
This initiative is being supported by several global brands, including Range Rover, General Motors, Blackberry, Etisalat, ASUS, Panasonic and Debenhams, as the key sponsors of the first season of the show. – TradeArabia News Service
