ENBD golfers campaign offers Dh1 million cash
DUBAI, November 22, 2017
Emirates NBD (ENBD), a leading bank in the UAE, has announced the return of the Million Dirham Putt - a campaign where amateur golfers from across the region compete for a chance to win Dh1,000,000 ($272,000) cash.
Organised in association with the bank’s sponsorship of the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic and the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, the Emirates NBD Million Dirham Putt campaign allows amateurs of all experience levels to test their skills on a bespoke, nine-hole putting challenge.
Similar to the 2016 scoring system, all contestants will be added to an ongoing live leaderboard, with the top ten contestants with the lowest possible scores from the nine-hole challenge from across the waves (listed below) qualifying for the Grand Final at the 2018 Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
One lucky winner will find him or herself in similar shoes to last year’s finalist and could be competing for the Million Dirham Putt in front of professional golfing legends such as reigning US Masters champion Sergio Garcia, and thousands of spectators on the 9th green of the stunning Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club.
If the contestant can successfully #banktheputt, he or she will walk away with Dh1,000,000 cash, and even if the finalist misses the 60ft putt, they will walk away a winner, with an outstanding consolation prize.
This year’s Million Dirham Putt competition runs for 27 days, across five different venues between November 2017 and February 2018, with the finale taking place just after the final putt of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic is sunk.
Kicking off on November 23 at JBR, The Beach, each contestant will be challenged to complete the uniquely designed course in as few shots as possible, with the opportunity to continue improving scores by returning daily to the activation to ensure he/she complete the course in the fewest putts possible. Contestants can also practice at the new 7-hole course at Taste of Abu Dhabi before qualifiers.
The event is open to golfers and non-golfers alike. – TradeArabia News Service
