CBD strengthens executive team with new Emirati GMs

As part of its strategy to enable UAE nationals to take up senior management positions, Commercial Bank of Dubai has announced the promotion of several senior Emirati executives.
Othman Bin Hendi has been appointed as general manager, Corporate Banking. Bin Hendi joined the bank in 1999 from Standard Chartered and has served in a number of positions across the organisation during his career with the bank. In recent years, he has assumed key leadership roles within both credit and corporate banking.
Abdul Rahim Abdulaziz Al Nimer has been appointed general manager, Commercial Banking. Al Nimer joined the bank in 1988 and has held a number of key frontline roles during the course of his dedicated career with CBD. Over the past several years he served as deputy general manager, commercial banking and has significantly contributed to the growth and success of the group.
Hassan Al Redha has been appointed general manager, Institutional & Transaction Banking. Al Redha joined CBD in 1998, has covered CBD’s FI relationships for many years and has more recently taken additional responsibility for our transaction banking, debt capital markets and commodity finance business.
All three general managers will join the bank’s executive committee.

Ghobash affirmed that CBD continues to focus on the development of Emirati talent who will contribute the growth of the bank and the banking sector.
