GIB hosts reception in Washington DC

Gulf International Bank (GIB), the first Arabian Gulf bank to establish operations in the US, hosted a high-profile reception during the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group meetings in Washington DC as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations this year.
The VIP reception was hosted by GIB’s chief executive officer Abdulaziz A. Al-Helaissi at the Four Seasons Hotel, Washington D C.
The event was attended by distinguished guests including governors from central banks, ministers of finance, policy makers and private sector executives.
GIB provides client-focused, innovative financial products and services to a wide customer base in the region. This includes corporate banking, asset management, debt and equity capital market services, financial advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, Shariah-compliant banking, and retail banking services.
Founded in Bahrain in 1975, the bank commenced operations in 1976. In 1980, GIB opened its offices in New York.
