QIIB, GBM launch 4 customer service projects

DOHA, July 30, 2015

Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has teamed up with Gulf Business Machines (GBM), a leading provider of IT solutions, to launch four major IT and business projects aiming to enhance customer experience at the bank, a report said.

The projects include a new datacenter and an upgrade to the network, new systems for production and disaster recovery, a middleware platform to connect all systems and business channels and a feature-rich mobile banking application, the Gulf Times report added, quoting a bank spokesman.

“There are few companies in Qatar that can provide end-to-end, best-of-breed IT solutions with strong implementation capacity, including after sales support,” Quan Croxford, head of IT at QIIB, said.

GBM Qatar designed and implemented systems to improve customer services, without interruption to the business, he said.

“Building these systems was critical to QIIB’s ability to maintain a competitive edge in the market place and increase its customer base,” Soubhi Chebib, general manager, GBM Qatar was quoted in the report.
