International Bank of Qatar names deputy CEO

DOHA, July 7, 2015

International Bank of Qatar (ibq) has announced the appointment of Muhannad Kamal as deputy chief executive officer, effective July.

Prior to this appointment he had been ibq’s general manager with responsibilities for wholesale banking operations.

Following the resignation of Jabra Ghandour from his position as managing director, and during a transition period, Kamal will assume the responsibility for managing the bank, until the appointment of a new managing director in due course, subject to necessary approvals from Qatar Central Bank.

Kamal obtained his B.A. in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut in 1978 before moving on to receive his Master’s degree in International Management (Finance) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University in 1980. – TradeArabia News Service
