BDO Mideast elects new EMEA board member

The managing partners of the BDO Middle East, a network of public accounting firms, has appointed Ali Jawad, the CEO of BDO in Bahrain as a board member of BDO Europe, Middle East and Africa.
In this new role, Jawad will attend and represent BDO Middle East at the BDO EMEA board meetings, said a statement.
Jawad Habib, outgoing board member, said: “I believe that the member firms in the region have shown wise judgment in electing Ali Jawad as my successor. His experience as CEO of a very successful local firm provides him with valuable insight and experience for his new role and I am sure that he will help the regional member firms to new levels of success.”
Jawad has extensive and diverse career background in the areas of auditing, business advisory and corporate legal services. He joined BDO in 2005 and since then he has been active in supporting the management in running the organisation and holding the responsibility for leading the auditing and business advisory services.
He has also been actively involved in the establishment and management of unique ventures and in developing a strategic action plan for BDO in Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. - TradeArabia News Service
