Khaleeji conducts workshop on money laundering

Manama, February 12, 2014

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) conducted a training programme for more than 80 employees on "Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism."

The programme highlighted a number of key areas including stages of money laundering and terrorist financing, along with cases and examples of such transactions, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The training was part of a mandatory requirement by the Central Bank of Bahrain for all banks in order to develop competence in the field.

All new staff members are enrolled into the programme within three months of joining the workforce and all relevant staff receive the training on a yearly basis in order to update their knowledge about the latest requirements.-TradeArabia News Service
