BKIC, India’s ICICI in insurance deal

Manama, March 8, 2012

Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (BKIC) has signed an agreement with ICICI Bank (Bahrain branch), India's largest private sector bank, for the distribution of its general insurance products.

The distribution will primarily target the Indian expatriate community in the kingdom.

The agreement was signed by BKIC chief executive Ebrahim Al Rayes and ICICI Bank country head Vikash Sharma.

'We are happy to sign this agreement with ICICI bank and are very positive about the success of bancassurance services in the kingdom,' said Al Rayes.

'This agreement provides yet another channel for us to reach out to potential customers who can transact their personal insurances and banking under one roof.'

This partnership provides ICICI Bank's individual customers with a unique opportunity to purchase their insurance protection through their preferred bank and enjoy the solid security and prompt services of BKIC.

In addition to the standard products, ICICI Bank will also provide insurance products specifically designed for the Indian expatriate community living in Bahrain. – TradeArabia News Service
