Azizi Hospitality advances hotel development in Azizi Riviera

Azizi Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Azizi Developments and part of Azizi Group, is moving ahead with the development of its five-star hotel in Azizi Riviera, Meydan, with the property on track to open in mid-2028.

The development is an important step in Azizi Hospitality’s wider expansion across the UAE, following its announcement (in March) of plans to invest AED75 billion ($20.42 billion) in 151 hotels across the country, predominantly in Dubai. The portfolio is expected to deliver approximately 60,000 room keys and create more than 75,000 jobs.

Located within the vibrant, amenity-rich community of Azizi Riviera, the hotel is designed around a diverse blend of accommodation, dining, wellness, leisure and family experiences. The vision sets the direction for both the architecture and the guest experience, from the guest rooms to the Italian and Asian restaurants, wellness facilities, kids’ club, gym and landscaped surroundings.

To get every detail right, the team is building a full-scale mock-up, a real guest room, corridor and lift lobby, allowing the space to be experienced exactly as a future guest would and giving the team the chance to refine layout, materials, flow and overall feel before those choices are carried through the hotel.

Construction is already underway, with excavation and foundation work on site, ahead of the main structural build, façade and interior fit-out.

Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Group, said: "Great hospitality isn't measured in room counts. It's measured in whether people leave wanting to return. Everything we build is designed around that test, down to the details most guests feel but never notice, how a space flows, how light falls, how it makes you feel the moment you walk in. It's the same standard we intend to bring to every property we build, each with a character of its own, each adding to Dubai's standing as one of the world's leading destinations."

Behind the construction programme, Azizi Hospitality is also shaping the elements that will ultimately bring the hotel to life, from the guest journey and operating model to the food and beverage concepts, wellness offering, technology, service standards, procurement and pre-opening preparations.

Saurabh Bakshi, CEO of Azizi Hospitality, said: “A hotel is made long before the first guest arrives, in the decisions most people never see. That is why we are shaping the experience, the operations and the finest details in step with the build itself. The mock-up room captures that discipline: it lets us step into the guest experience early, test what works and refine it well before we reach the final stages.”

The coming phases will focus on the main structural build and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, followed by the interior fit-out, the furniture and fittings that bring each space to life, and the equipment that keeps the hotel running day to day. The final stages will move into readying the property for operation, testing every system and preparing for opening.

The hotel joins a growing Azizi Hospitality portfolio that spans four-star, five-star and seven-star developments, among them the planned seven-star hotel within Burj Azizi, set to become the world’s second-tallest tower. Together, they form part of Azizi’s long-term commitment to Dubai’s standing as one of the world’s leading destinations. – TradeArabia News Service
