KAFD expands hospitality offering with opening of 214-key Atheel Hotel

King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC) has announced the opening of Atheel KAFD, expanding the hospitality offering at Riyadh’s premier business and lifestyle destination.

Developed by KAFD DMC and operated by Adeera Hospitality Company, the hotel places Saudi talent at the centre of its luxury hospitality operations.

Atheel KAFD features 214 rooms and suites, alongside several dining and leisure facilities, including a restaurant showcasing Saudi flavours, Riya Maison serving French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and Cloud 14, a rooftop lounge and pool overlooking Riyadh’s skyline.

The property also includes a ballroom, five meeting rooms and a wellness and fitness centre.

Designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by Wilson Associates, the hotel is connected directly to KAFD Metro Station and provides access to the district’s offices, residences, retail and cultural attractions.

The opening brings KAFD’s operational hotel capacity to more than 630 rooms, including W Riyadh – KAFD and Kimpton KAFD Riyadh. A future Hilton hotel will add another 450 rooms, supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s hospitality ambitions.

John Pagano, KAFD DMC Managing Director, said: “The Kingdom is expanding its hospitality offering at an unprecedented pace, with tourism set to contribute more than 10% of national GDP by 2030. In a market moving that fast, the opportunity isn’t just to add more rooms, but to build with purpose. Atheel will become an integral part of KAFD’s mixed-use ecosystem, where business, dining, and community come together in one connected district.”

Pagano added: “As KAFD attracts global companies and visitors, hotels like Atheel are essential to providing a complete experience within the district. Operated by Saudi talent, Atheel reflects the warmth of Saudi hospitality while meeting the needs of those who work, visit and connect at KAFD. As Riyadh further cements its position as the region’s business capital, Atheel brings together the highest international hospitality standards with an unmistakably Saudi spirit.” -TradeArabia News Service
