Metal Park, a plug and play ecosystem for metal sector based in Kezad, Abu Dhabi, has announced China Energy Engineering Corporation (Energy China), a Fortune Global 500 company, as one of its latest occupants, with the company establishing its project office to support the delivery of the Taweelah C Independent Power Project.

The launch of Energy China's project office at Metal Park Business Center reflects a common requirement across major industrial and infrastructure developments. 

EPC contractors, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, and project management teams typically require a professional operational base for several months, or even years, while delivering projects in the UAE, said the statement from Metal Park.

Recently, Energy China had signed the EPC contract for the 2.6 GW Taweelah C Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant, where it will lead engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, training, and warranty services throughout the project's execution. 

The project represents one of the largest power EPC contracts awarded in the Gulf region this year and is expected to remain under construction for approximately 32 months.
