AtkinsRéalis, a major engineering services company, has been awarded the lead design consultancy contract by the Expo 2030 Riyadh Company for its Place and Planet Pavilion, one of the signature thematic pavilions planned for the mega event to be held in the Saudi capital.

Under the agreement, the Canadian group will lead the design and multidisciplinary consultancy services for the pavilion, supporting the development of a landmark venue that will showcase the relationship between people, places, and the environment while reflecting the overarching vision and sustainability objectives of Expo 2030 Riyadh.

An ambitious project for the kingdom, The Place and Planet Pavilion is expected to be one of the central attractions of Expo 2030 Riyadh, contributing to the event’s mission of promoting global collaboration, sustainable development, and technological innovation.

AtkinsRéalis said its scope of work includes provision of architectural and engineering design, co-ordination of multidisciplinary design disciplines and integration of sustainable design principles as well as ensuring the pavilion meets the highest standards of innovation, visitor experience, and environmental performance.

The contract further boosts AtkinsRéalis’ presence in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing mega-project sector and supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambitions to deliver a world-class international exposition.-TradeArabia News Service
