WSP secures detailed master plan contract for Jebel Ali Racecourse project

WSP, a global engineering and professional services consulting firm, has been signed up by UAE-based ARM Holding to lead the detailed master plan (DMP) for a major development surrounding its historic Jebel Ali Racecourse mixed-use project. Spanning over 5 million sq m area, this transformative development reimagines urban living through a mix of residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and leisure uses, anchored by 1.5 million sq m of parkland, while preserving and integrating the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse within the wider landscape.

The scope of work includes the full spectrum of master planning and technical disciplines, including urban design and master planning, transport and mobility, wet and dry utilities infrastructure and sustainability.

It also will cover Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and environmental impact, fire and life safety strategy and geotechnical and risk assessments as well as security and acoustics.

Building on a successful collaboration with Danish architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) during the concept master plan phase, WSP now leads the delivery of a robust, future-focused DMP, aligned with Dubai’s long-term urban vision and designed to enhance quality of life for generations to come.

This multidisciplinary effort brings together expertise across advisory, transport and infrastructure and property and buildings, showcasing the strength of integrated collaboration at scale.- TradeArabia News Service
