Monaco's Dubai Expo 2020 pavilion work enters fast-track

DUBAI, October 13, 2020

With one year to go before the Dubai Expo 2020 opening, the work on the country pavilion of Principality of Monaco is gathering pace with the external structure almost completed.

For the first World Exhibition being organised in the Middle East from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, Monaco has chosen to present the many facets of its national identity inspired by the Rock, in the Opportunity district of the Expo site, said senior Moanco officials.

They will be connected to the city of Dubai's grid at the beginning of December, thus starting the process of self-supplying the Pavilion with energy until the opening and throughout the duration of the event, they stated.

On the water supply side, the irrigation, drinking water and fire-fighting networks have also been installed and the landscaping is also being finalised.

Once the core and shell is completed, the pavilion will be closed, tempered and kept under surveillance until it reopens at the end of May, said the officials.

The interior scenography and the various elements making up the stations to be visited will be delivered and installed from June, as will the wastewater treatment system and the air compressor.

This unprecedented edition, which is expected to welcome more than 190 countries and 25 million visitors, promises to once again bring together a world recovering from this pandemic around a common goal: Connecting minds, creating the future, they added.

The Monaco Pavilion will be keen to demonstrate its efforts in the field of the environment and ecology, as well as its savoir-faire in education, construction and science.-TradeArabia News Service
