Galfar wins Qatar infrastructure works deal

DOHA, September 2, 2015

Qatar-based Galfar Al Misnad Engineering and Contracting has won a QR856 million ($234 million) contract from the state economic zones company (Manateq) to develop the infrastructure in the Al Wakrah logistic services area, said a report.

The project covers a total area of 6.6 sq km and currently the first phase is being developed on a 3.5 sq km area, which would to be leased to investors, reported the Gulf Times.

The infrastructure works are scheduled to be completed within two years of signing the contract, it added.
