Madinah's licensed hospitality facilities up 93pc in 2024

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism has reported a remarkable 93% increase in the number of licensed hospitality facilities in the Madinah Region, reaching over 450 by the end of 2024.

Madinah ranks third among Saudi Arabia’s regions and cities, following Makkah and Riyadh, in terms of the number of licensed hospitality establishments, reported SPA

This growth highlights the region’s growing appeal to tourists, with the number of licensed rooms also rising by 62%, totaling nearly 62,000 rooms, stated the report, citing the Ministry's latest statistics.

This surge reflects the significant expansion of the kingdom's tourism infrastructure and its efforts to boost the tourism sector, it added.
