Resorts World One sails out from Keelung, Taiwan

Singapore-based Resorts World Cruises said it is returning to Taiwan for a second year in a row, in response to popular demand, with the luxurious cruise ship Resorts World One starting her first sailing from Taiwanese port city, Keelung, on July 16.
The ship departs twice a week until September 22, 2024 to offer roundtrip cruises to Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan.
It offers the 2 Night Okinawa Weekend Getaway Cruise departing every Friday; and the 5 Night Cruises departing every Sunday from Keelung to multiple destinations, including to Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Naha, Miyakojima, Ishigaki and Motobu.
Select 2 and 4 Night Okinawa cruises will also be available from Kaohsiung from August 18, 2024 onwards.
To celebrate the ship’s maiden voyage from Keelung, Resorts World Cruises’ management, which included its President, Michael Goh, Victoria Hsu, Vice President - Sales and Captain Johan Bohman of the Resort World One, welcomed Lu Zhan You, Vice President of Administration of the Taiwan International Ports Corporation Limited (TIPC) to officiate the first sailing with a sold-out cruise of over 3,600 passengers and crew.
The Resorts World One is expected to have 24 sailings during the three months homeport deployment, which will further grow the cruise tourism sector and the local economy across the network chain of supply from provisioning to bunkering, transportation and more, including the academic development for the tourism-related industries.

For the Keelung homeport deployment, Resorts World One will provide new onboard offerings a ‘Dazzling Departure Party’ that will feature live performances and entertainment, as well as pulse-pounding music.
Other events include stage production shows like ‘Trustfall’ and ‘Anime-tion’ with choreography, acts and visuals; ‘Teen Sailors’ programme that includes personal ship tours, fun games and sports, arts and craft workshops, Karaokes and parties, virtual games; the new signature ‘Minute Mayhem’ game; thematic cuisines such as our ‘French Night’, ‘Japanese Summer’, a special ‘Fisherman Wharf’ BBQ theme party on the open deck; and the ‘Okinawan Benimo’ and ‘All about Matcha’ farewell theme parties.
Resorts World Cruises also further collaborated with Japan Agriculture (JA) Okinawa to bring some of its renowned Wagyu beef on the Resorts World One cruise ship.
Between July 21 and August 23, 2024, guests will get the opportunity to participate in the JA Okinawa Wagyu beef cooking demonstrations for selected cruise departures, as well as savour authentic Okinawan cuisine prepared using fresh farm-to-table Okinawa local products at selected onboard specialty restaurants.
Resorts World One has the highest ratio of fluently Mandarin speaking crew in the industry. In addition, onboard announcement and signages are also available in Mandarin.
There is free access to an onboard authentic Chinese restaurant, while discovering a wide array of Asian and international cuisines.
Families and multi-generation families on the Resorts World One, can look forward to “The Palace” – ‘a luxury ship-within-a ship’ private all-suite enclave with exclusive restaurant, sundeck, gym and other facilities, including its own 24-hour European style butler service.

What to Expect
The Kyushu region offers a diverse experience with each location. The famous city of Kumamoto is well-known for its natural hot springs, historical sites such as the legendary Kumamoto castle and is also home to the widely popular and cute Kumamon Bear mascot.
Another popular city is Sasebo, a coastline port city with unique cultures and Western influences, which are visible at the Huis Ten Bosch Park, showcasing the Dutch city scenery.
