Leading hospitality event Horeca to kick off in Kuwait

The 12th edition of the Horeca expo kicks off tomorrow (January 15) in Kuwait drawing more than 100 top firms from the hospitality sector.
The event is being organized in collaboration with Hospitality Services Company by Leaders Group for Consultations and Development.
The event, which runs until January 17, will be attended by representatives of major hospitality companies and other key stake holders and senior officials.
The exhibition reflects Kuwait's growing interest in the hospitality sector and its development, said the event organisers.
The hospitality sector plays a major role in achieving the economic vision and diversifying income sources.
Kuwait's hospitality sector is promising with ample potential and opportunities, it added.
Nabilah Al Anjari, General Manager of Leaders Group for Consultations and Development and Chairperson of the organizing committee for the twelfth Horeca Kuwait exhibition, said the expo reflects Kuwait's keen interest in the hospitality sector and its development, amid growing interest from industry leaders to apply everything new and innovative in the world of hospitality.
The event provides a great opportunity to learn from the vast experiences in the hospitality industry, ranging from local to regional and international perspectives, she stated.
The exhibition confirms Kuwait's commitment to organizing international exhibitions, with the presence of international figures with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including the personal representative of the President of France, Guillaume Combes, along with numerous ambassadors, diplomatic mission representatives, hotel owners, restaurant owners, and specialized companies operating in the hospitality sector locally, regionally, and globally, she added.
A variety of events will be held during the exhibition, including cooking competitions with the participation of over 200 chefs supervised by 15 international judges, as well as the launch of coffee (barista) competitions supervised by Kuwaiti and international judges, said Al Anjari.
Additionally, housekeeping competitions will take place under the supervision of international specialists. Five seminars will be held during the exhibition, with the participation of more than 20 specialists in the hospitality and food sector, including a special seminar on the role of Kuwaiti women in developing Kuwaiti cuisine, she added.
Al Anjari pointed out that Kuwait's hospitality sector was to benefit from the increasing global interest in the Gulf countries, leading to significant growth in entertainment and hospitality projects.
The value of facilities under construction or in planning is estimated at over $140 billion by 2026, with current projects worth around $30 billion, she revealed.
"Reports indicate a rise in hospitality sector revenues in the Middle East to over $270 billion, equivalent to pre-Covid levels, in addition to the industry's need for over 80,000 people in the coming years," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
