Lufthansa names senior sales director for Gulf region

The Lufthansa Group has appointed Heinrich Lange as senior director sales, Gulf, Afghanistan & Pakistan, effective January 2019.
In his new role, Lange will be responsible for the commercial and sales activities of the Lufthansa Group Airlines, as well as their representation in the Gulf, Afghanistan and Pakistan regions.
With his 14 years of experience in airline management, Lange brings a deep and wide-ranging knowledge to his new position.
His path into the aviation industry began in 2004 with a dual qualification program in the Lufthansa Group specialising in Business Administration and training as an aviation manager in the Lufthansa Group.
In 2007, Lange was assigned Manager Quality Management Onboard Service, being responsible for monitoring desired quality level of rewarded onboard service.
Four years later, he was appointed manager Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture Sales Strategy as a founding member of a new team which was to accelerate the sales cooperation and integration of Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian and Brussels Airlines while being responsible for the development of a long-term supporting business strategy for the LHG sales organisation.
In his most recent position as senior manager sales steering and business development for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe headquartered in Vienna, Lange was responsible for the commercial steering of seven sales teams in 16 markets and further developing the growth of the Lufthansa Group Airlines in Eastern and South-eastern Europe.
In addition, he also headed a Global Cooperation Working Group for the new Lufthansa Group Joint Venture with Air China.
Lange will be based in Dubai, succeeding Karsten Zang, who held this position since the beginning of 2014. Lange will report to Dr Stefan Kreuzpaintner, vice president sales Europe, Middle East & Africa, Lufthansa Group. - TradeArabia News Service
