Moda Mall hosts Diwali celebrations

Moda Mall, Bahrain's luxury shopping destination, is inviting visitors to join in the Diwali celebrations, also known as the Festival of Lights, being hosted in the Jewellery Court of the mall.
Celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage, Moda Mall’s Diwali Festival - which runs till November 8 - embodies the festive spirit with a showcase of vibrant lights, traditional sweets, live entertainment and shopping for the entire family.
A traditional candle lighting ceremony marked the inauguration of Moda Mall’s Diwali Festival which was attended by the guest of honour, the president of the Indian Ladies Association, Thanuja Anil, and Kelvin Crutchlow, director and general manager of Cushman & Wakefield Bahrain - the managing agent of Bahrain World Trade Center and Moda Mall.
As part of its Diwali Festival, Moda Mall has been entertaining its visitors with lively amalgamations of violin, mridangam, flute, sitar and tabla recitals and Jugalbandi over the past few days. With additional performances lined up by various artists, visitors will be treated to sitar, flute and mridangam recitals on November 6 between 5 – 6 pm; violin and Mridangam performances on November 7 at 8.30 pm, followed by a special poetry programme in English and Arabic with performances by various poets from Bahrain Writers’ Circle.
Brightening up the festival celebrations, Moda Mall is also welcoming its visitors with a unique display of Rangoli, traditional art drawings intricately designed in vibrant colours on the floor using rice, flowers, powder or paints along with an opportunity to capture their Diwali moments at the mall against a special-themed backdrop.
Crutchlow said: “We are very pleased to bring the festivities of Diwali to Moda Mall for the first time. We invite everyone across Bahrain to join us in the Diwali festivities, and we wish all our visitors a very happy and prosperous Diwali.”
As part of the Diwali festivities, Moda Mall extended charitable support to the Indian Ladies Association for their CSR initiative, Sneha with a donation amount. - TradeArabia News Service
