Bahrain's Lego Shows attract more than 26,000 visitors

MANAMA, September 2, 2018

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced that the Lego Shows, held between the August 22 and 31 at the Bahrain International Exhibitions and Convention Centre, attracted more than 26,000 visitors over the 10-day programme.

The Lego Shows brings the world of Lego to life, featuring millions of the classic Lego bricks as well as beloved Lego brands including Ninjago, City, Duplo, Friends and Star Wars.  The visitors to the event enjoyed the ultimate family event where the attendees were given the opportunity to play with Lego blocks across a variety of fun and creative stations and interactive instalments.
 
“The Lego Shows event received great attendance over a period of 10 days, attracting more than 26,000 visitors from the kingdom and neighbouring GCC countries. The BTEA continually strives towards hosting events that offer fun-filled experiences suitable for the entire family with an aim to revitalize the Kingdom’s tourism sector and further drive the development of the national economy,” said the chief executive officer of BTEA, Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.

Hosting these events comes in line with the BTEA’s long-term strategy to further develop the kingdom’s tourism sector and strengthen its position on a regional and international level under the slogan of ‘Ours.
