Sharjah Airport expects 1.1m passengers in August

SHARJAH, August 8, 2018

The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has announced that it expects more than 1.1 million passengers on both scheduled and non-scheduled flights this August, a media report said.

The Authority has also affirmed it has completed preparations for the peak of the travel season and an expected influx of Hajj pilgrims, reported Emirates news agency Wam.

Ali Salem Al Midfa, chairman of SAA, said that Hajj and Eid Al Adha holidays are the most important seasons for Sharjah Airport during which the number of passengers hits its peak due to charter flights to cope with the high demand, which requires expediting travel procedures while maintaining the highest level of service.

Al Midfa praised the efforts of the bodies and agencies operating at Sharjah Airport in facilitating passengers’ movement, providing the highest levels of service, and contributing to enhancing the smooth flow of traffic at the airport.
