Sabre appoints new head of finance for the Middle East

MANAMA, August 1, 2018

Sabre Corporation, the global technology provider to the travel and tourism industry, has appointed Sumit Chaudhary as head of finance for Sabre Travel Network Middle East (STNME).

Chaudhary will lead financial operations for the Middle East, a key growth area for Sabre. He is tasked with optimising financial performance across the region, as well as identifying and executing commercial and financial opportunities to help accelerate growth and create value for customers and shareholders.

“Sumit has a successful track record, along with hands-on business experience within the technology sector, making him an excellent partner for our leadership team,” said Raymond Vrijenhoek, vice president, STNME. “As we continue our mission to reimagine the business of travel, Sumit’s role will be essential in supporting our strategy and financial operations as we continue to drive the business forward.” 

Sumit brings extensive experience in finance operations within both start-ups and global technology companies, most recently leading the Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) initiative in Europe. Throughout his 15 years of experience, Sumit has developed extensive knowledge in growing new business, building high performance teams and setting financial protocols in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
