AirBaltic launches flights to Bordeaux

RIGA, June 4, 2018

Latvian airline airBaltic has launched a new route from Riga International Airport, with twice weekly flights to Bordeaux Airport in France.

The new route offers convenient travel options from the Baltics to the sunny Bordeaux, as well as new connections for travellers from Southwestern France to Riga and beyond to destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltics, and the CIS.

Wolfgang Reuss, senior vice preisdent of Network Management of airBaltic, said: “We are delighted to add the third French destination to our summer route map. Bordeaux is the eighth new summer destination for airBaltic from Riga this year. With its Unesco World Heritage protected city centre, a vibrant cultural life, world famous vineyards and, of course, a wide array of culinary delights, Bordeaux is the perfect getaway for holidaymakers.”

AirBaltic will operate a Boeing 737 aircraft on the new route. One-way ticket price to Bordeaux starts at €79 ($92), including airport fees and transaction costs.

AirBaltic serves over 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, offering the largest variety of destinations and convenient connections via Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, the CIS and the Middle East. For summer 2018, airBaltic has introduced eight new destinations from Riga to Malaga, Lisbon, Split, Bordeaux, Gdansk, Almaty as well as Sochi and Kaliningrad.
