Stelia Aerospace to design Business Class seat for Asian carrier

TOULOUSE, France, April 11, 2018

Stelia Aerospace has been selected by world-leading carrier Singapore Airlines to develop a bespoke Business Class seat for its new Boeing 787-10 fleet.

The new B787-10 fleet of Singapore Airlines is configured with 337 seats in two classes, featuring 36 Business Class seats and 301 Economy Class seats.
The new Business Class seat has been developed by Stelia Aerospace specifically for Singapore Airlines, focusing on ensuring the best passenger experience.

A total of 14 customised features have been developed in partnership to meet passenger expectations and this new Business Class seat offers many enhancements, providing customers with more comfort during flight:

- Full-flat 76-inch long beds
- A generous seat pitch of 44-inch and a 20-inch seat width (up to 26-inch when retracting the armrests)
- Regular-shaped footwell (height 12-inch, opening width 16-inch, depth 25.5-inch)
- Adjustable dividers between alternate rows of centre seats (full-height and mid-height) to customise the level of privacy
- Lowerable armrests

Other thoughtful features include more stowage space, integrated reading lights and a large meal table. The interior trimmings of each seat have also been given a touch of luxury with Alcantara padding, a material used to fit the interiors of sports cars, providing a natural cabin noise cancellation and consequently enhancing the “cocoon” effect.

In terms of in-flight entertainment, Business Class passengers enjoy a more personalised and interactive KrisWorld experience, on an 18-inch full high-definition touchscreen monitor.

In addition, all Business Class customers enjoy the convenience of direct aisle access. - TradeArabia News Service
