Bahrain participates in 20th Council of Arab Tourism Ministers

A delegation from Bahrain participated in the 20th session of Council of Arab Tourism Ministers held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League’s headquarters.
During the session, the council discussed 15 items kicking off the discussion with the development of the Arab Tourism Strategy, implementation of its programs and the facilitation of tourism traffic amongst the Arab region. In addition, improving airport services and Arab tourist destinations in countries hosting tourists.
The council also proposed to activate “accessible tourism” in the Arab world, as well as discuss the lack of standards and requirements in some Arab countries that will support tourism to become accessible to all amidst tourism policies and strategies.
The ministers also discussed cooperation with Latin American countries in the field of tourism and the study of a number of topics proposed by the Arab Tourism Organization which aims to promote the tourism industry in the Arab world.
The council, which consists of eight Arab countries, elected Bahrain as a member of its executive office for two years (2018-2019). - TradeArabia News Service
