Fairmont Dubai marks 'Think Pink' month with fashion show

DUBAI, October 25, 2017

As part of its annual think pink campaign, on October 24 Fairmont Dubai hosted an intimate afternoon tea fashion catwalk inspired by the creation of Arwa Bait-El-Mal from Juri Fashion.

The purpose of the meaningful event was to draw inspiration from one another and unite in action to support the importance of the breast cancer awareness.

The event occurred in the 548-sq-m Imperial Suite located above the clouds on the hotel’s 34th floor and the venue played host to a fashion show, where the cancer survivors were dressed in elegant attire by one of the most renowned UAE fashion designers, Arwa Bait-El-Mal from Juri Fashion. The designer clothes were worn by cancer survivors from Friends of Cancer Patients, sharing not only their remarkable courage but inspirational journey of survival.

During the event, Fairmont Dubai consequently introduced its new afternoon tea concept, which will be available from November 1 in The Library lounge, located on the hotel’s ground floor. Sweet and savory delicacies in the afternoon tea were carefully crafted by the executive chef Tuomas Heikkinen and his skilful team.

In partnership with Friends of Cancer Patients, Juri Fashion, Vivandi Trichology Center and Samer Khalil Ladies Salon, the Breast Cancer Awareness afternoon event was an exclusive non-profit gathering to encourage acts that inspire, support others, promote health and support the Friends of Cancer Patients. - TradeArabia News Service
