Bahrain Tourism hosts fam trip for Indian wedding planners
MANAMA, September 19, 2017
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) organized a familiarization trip for the largest Indian wedding planning agencies from September 11 to 13.
The selection of the 10 Indian wedding planning agencies was based on the quality of their work as well as their experience in planning weddings abroad.
In addition, 30 companies from the kingdom were invited to attend a forum, which will be held on October 12 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC). The companies included major hotels, wedding planning agencies, travel logistics companies, and banquet halls. During the forum, the representatives had the opportunity to meet with the Indian wedding planners to discuss future opportunities in this sector.
“We are delighted to host the largest wedding planning agencies to promote the wide range of wedding services available in the Kingdom, along with the international luxury hotel chains and boutique offerings. The BTEA is keen to host such events that aim to showcase the kingdom’s offerings as a wedding destination.” said the advisor to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Ali Hassan Follad.
“Developing this vital sector comes in line with the BTEA’s 2016-2018 strategy aimed at promoting Bahrain as a wedding destination for its diverse offerings that also makes it an ideal destination for families and international tourists,” he added.
In addition, a tour around the kingdom was also organised where the Indian delegation had the chance to visit some of Bahrain’s tourist attractions such as Bahrain International Circuit, Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Center, and Bahrain National Museum. The tour also included visits to some of the Kingdom’s luxury hotels including the Gulf Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, and Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa. - TradeArabia News Service
