Dubai's Municipality has signed an agreement with Emirates airline to offer discounts on ticket fares for municipality employees, a report said.

Under the agreement, Emirates will offer municipality employees and their family members (wife and children) a 10 per cent discount on economy class tickets and a 4 per cent discount on business class fares on all its destinations, said a report in Gulf News.

An additional 10kg luggage per passenger will be allowed for municipality employees, as well as any additional privileges agreed between the two parties.

Marwan Bin Bayat Al Falasi, director of human resources department, Dubai Municipality and Mausouma Al Mohsen, director of sales, Emirates airlines, signed the agreement, the report said.

Dubai Municipality employees will receive offers and privileges of Emirates through email, informing them of the booking process and reservation channels available for the privileges offered by Emirates.
