Royal Wings aircraft skids off course in Aqaba

, September 17, 2017

A Royal Wings carrier flying in to Aqaba from Amman, Jordan, skidded off course upon landing at King Hussein International Airport. No injuries to passengers or crew were reported.

The Boeing 737, which was leased on ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) basis from Solitaire Air, landed today at 8:20 am on its regular flight (JO 6888) from Amman to Aqaba and will continue to Dubai.

A minor damage was recorded on the external structure of the aircraft while it was skidding off the runway. Royal Wings provided hotel accommodation in Aqaba for all the passengers who were onboard while waiting for another airplane to arrive and carry them from Aqaba to Dubai, the carrier said in a statement. - Tradearabia News Service
